Shun is a Japan- and Australian-trained physiotherapist with over three years of clinical experience as an accredited physiotherapist in a tertiary hospital in Japan, where he worked across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Since relocating to Australia, Shun has gained extensive experience in high-performance and sporting environments. He has supported teams including the West Coast Eagles (WAFL), Subiaco FC Colts, Perth FC Colts, and state-level basketball and rugby teams. He is currently completing a Master of Sports Physiotherapy at Curtin University.
Shun has a special interest in the management of soft-tissue injuries and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, with a particular focus on ACL, shoulder, and ankle conditions. He believes that combining hands-on treatment, structured gym-based exercise, and clear, progressive rehabilitation programs is essential for achieving meaningful and sustainable outcomes for patients.
Outside of clinical practice, Shun enjoys weightlifting, running, cycling, and swimming, and completed the Busselton Half-Ironman in 2024. He is also actively involved in the Japanese physiotherapy community, working with universities and clinicians in Japan to help bridge Australian and Japanese sports physiotherapy practice and education.
